Orange Ink Is Sloppy. Is It A Double Tranfer?

This 1945 Army cover is different. The orange ink on the envelope is so sloppy it makes it hard to read that it is 6 cents.

I think it is very much overinked. Does not really look like a double transfer to me.

@Well, look at the result. You can duplicate this effect by turning the color up on your color tv. Too much color makes it look unnatural

EFO collectors would find interest in this. Also a specialist of this issue. I collect the 1957 Oklahoma Statehood issue and would kill to find an overinking like this for my stamp. I think it is great!

It is the opposite of an albino cover. Albinos are when a piece of postal stationery gets the embossed design but the ink has run out and there is no color at all. These are not considered errors but rather more in the freak or oddity category. They are collectible but the premium for them is pretty modest.
