If one has high quality and relatively rare material to sell on ebay, I suppose one could to pretty well. I don't; I just sell duplicates from my collection and some stuff I inherited. I find it pretty iffy. I've had no luck selling my father's FDCs, nor his plate blocks. Still, I find it rather fun, as long as you're not doing it ti put bread on the table.

I am curious why you decided not to offer returns.

A no return policy with a rating of 15 may produce some skepticism.

Maybe I should offer returns in the future. I didn't think it would be a concern. I have never had a negative rating. Not once. If it would keep people from bidding it can be changed.

Always, but always, offer a return policy. The only exception I use is for bulk lots, so they don't get cherry-picked and returned

I would suggest using a very low starting price ie. 1c or 99c. You said you have a lot of items to sell and I think at this point getting some sales and experience are more important than losing a $1 or $2.
I have found I get more bids with a low starting price and in the long run I give away a few items but make much more money overall.

I agree about a return policy, if someone wants to return it ebay will support them anyway and saying no returns is often a sign of a disreputable seller.

Actually, booklet panes on FDCs are no more scarce than any other FDC. The major FDC makers serviced them by the tens of thousands... singles, pairs, blocks, plate blocks, coil pairs, complete sets, you name it.
