Either he reads this site or someone told him, it has been changed to used now. Of course it's still fake.

I have also asked him a few times to post pics of the back of some of his first issue silks that he has available. Apparently his scanner is broken and has been that way for over a year.

This will come as no shock to many of you, but his name has been tossed out there several times in this forum for his inaccurate descriptions and dubious imperf and part perfs. I believe a few of you stated you refuse to buy from him.

This seller has "issues". He has been selling for many years, but apparently has never been wrong a day in his life. Even when he posts imperfs and part perfs that are clearly trimmed, mint stamps that are clearly used, and other assorted detritus that he thinks is gold. Best to avoid him entirely.

Oh you guys... He was just recently recommended in another thread as a trusted seller.

I'm blocked by that seller for challenging some of his descriptions.

Saddening to read the above about discussion of that dealer. I've dealt with him in 3 different locations around Santa Rosa, CA since the late 60's thru 90's. Mostly supplies, but he did give me my first auction catalogue.

For the record, the seller is:

GREGG NELSON/SANTA ROSA STAMPS
P.O. BOX 1162
CLOVERDALE, CA, 95425

In this thread and others, I fail to understand why sellers are not identified by name. If you are stating facts, there cannot be a defamation claim based on your post. If the seller is identified in a listing that you link to, then not naming the seller just wastes time by requiring people to track down the listing.

Apparently I am also a member of the BBG (Blocked By Gregg) Club. One of my ebay identities, that is. But he listed something that I wanted, so I registered a second ebay identity so I could purchase the item at what I thought was a favorable price.

The seller keeps replying through ebay to my email with only a period "."

I pointed out I didn't understand and have made it all the way to three periods now "...".

In semi related news, I just found out I have been blocked by another dealer, presumably over my brazen attempt to point out an issue with one of his lots, which I also wanted to purchase!

"Rare 1919 Class A Playing Cards USA Internal Revenue RF16 Imperforate, Blue" offered at the bargain price of $29.69. Obviously a huge bargain for a stamp cataloging at a whopping 90 cents.

It is also obviously rare, since it is actually rouletted and not imperforate, but what do I know?!?!?!?

OH COME ON!!

He is at it again...

"US STOCK TRANSFER-GREEN, MINT, RD299, NG, 1949"

Mint - except the enormous giant purple splodges in at least two huge spots on the stamp. I can't even be bothered to play in RR to see what the canx actually says, but it is plain as day.

I have said it before and I will say it again. If you have a red or green and the denom is less than $30 and it has no gum, it is USED - period.

STOP CALLING "NG" MINT, thank you ever so much.

By the by, he blocked me. (see the original post in this string).

He has a nice expensive stamp I attempted to buy today. Looks correctly ID'd and properly described and I am good with the price.

Tried to purchase it and epic fail - blocked by seller.

Must be nice to have so much money you don't need folks to buy what you have for sale.
