Good Afternoon Everyone,

I have scanned the following 18XX Barbados stamp at 600 dpi in millions of colors in hopes that I can get someone to identify the perforation. The cancel is so strong that even if there was a watermark, I can't make it out. Please have a look and let me know what you believe the cat# and value is too please. I can scan the back as well if necessary and / or take measurements.

Thank you

Hi: It's 1861 SG:23 or 24 no WMK rough perfs 14 to 16 or 1870 SG:44 large star WMK rough perfs 14 to 16 or 1871 SG:48 small star WMK rough perfs 14 to 16!
As you can see WMK ID needed!

Thank you perf12. I took a picture while the stamp was in WM fluid. Hopefully someone can make out the WM if there is one.

Not easy finding the WMK sometimes in these stamps.Better holding it up to a light and take a pic.If it has a Star WMK it may not always be complete, but you can tell from the branch of the star if it's large or small..

I tried lighting, watermark fluid and lighting, more WM fluid in tray. No luck. I can't make this thing out. BTW - Previous owner wrote "23" on the back but I feel better if I confirm everything.

UPDATE: I may be on to something with a white piece of paper behind the stamp and a black light in front. Stamp needs debris taken off of back.

If you intend soaking it, the Wmk (if any) should become evident in the water.
