On my latest windows 10 update ms paint has been replaced with 3 D paint and as a result cut, copy and paste which are very useful for stamp comparisons has disappeared. How can one get ms paint back?

Here you go
http://stampsmarter.com/features/do...indows10.zip

Download and extract the .exe from the .zip file. Run setup. This is the original Windows Paint (MS Paint)

My version of Windows 10 has both Paint and 3D Paint
Try doing a search for Paint in you system.

Mine too. But I highly recommend a third party program such as Paint.net. It is free but I donate to them - well worth it.

MS Paint Ver 3.3x, 3.5
Having Problems.

Using Paint for Perf Guaging, My normal 3 step routine..........

1.Open Paint
2. Open perf Guage (not real one, unable to post)

3. Open stamp image (600dpi)

Edit: Paste in new layer
Keep canvas size.
-----------------------------------------------------

I do that now, and when I go to paste, all my options are greyed out.

I went to download a new MSPaint
and I have to accept (a whopping) Microsoft Framework net

I aborted.
Do I need this framework.net?

Any other suggestions for online perf guage ?

Thanks

Paint requires Framework.Net but this should already be installed.

Two gauges here

(Note, you should download the PDFs and then open them on your desktop. If you try to print the PDF from inside a browser window, it may or may not scale correctly.)

Wow!
Thanks Don.
The "GZ" paper guage was amazing.

I used Keijo's perf guage (free)
https://www.stampcollectingblog.com...ation-gauge/

That result was 13.15
The GZ paper guage ran true at 13.2

I need to differentiate between 13.25 and 13.5 for my Turkey stamps.

Hi. It has happened again during some new recent update. Where can I get a copy of mspaint? The previous listed link doesn't appear to work anymore. Thanks.

I always keep copies of original software and just happen to have a copy of the Zip file called, "ClassicPaintforWindows10.zip". I need this since my computer does not have the correct memory and other issues to get to Windows 11.

I did find a reference to free software for Classic Paint for Windows 11, but I can't vouch for the source. You can just google, "Classic Paint for Windows" and see what you get. Good luck.

Just a suggestion of course, but I've been using photofiltre for many years.

I'm using version 6.5.3 from 2012 via WINE on my linux setup.

Every image I've created and then posted here was done using this program.
