Does anyone know who produces the Scott International albums? I'm looking for the manufacturer, not amos advantage or scott. I wanted to see if they would produce an international album that has the piano hinges like Scott has released with the green specialty albums. I contacted Amos Advantage and they said they have no intention of doing so. I am tired of my albums splitting at the fabric hinge. I don't want to duct tape my albums but would consider using a tape if it matched. Any thoughts or information would be greatly appreciated.

Your best bet for a nearish match is probably blue bookbinding tape.

A custom album sounds expensive.
I would be tempted to buy a green hinged album, buy 2 blue International albums, and try to make my own. Not sure what it might take to remove the blue fabric from the blue albums, but it might be worth a try.

You already contacted them sqlxprt.

Edit: See https://goscf.com/t/64992 and look into the VR (Vintage Reproductions) pages. You can use their binders or go buy new piano hinged three ring binders from the open market if available.

I was thinking to see if I could take an older binder that is falling apart and add the hinges to it. My concern is it has to go under the tunnel that holds the rod that goes through the two posts. I had thought about buying the Specialty binder but that is made for a slightly different page. Thank you for the feedback and I will look into the bookbinder's tape and buying some piano hinges on Amazon to see if I can successfully repair an older volume and achieve the desired result. I do btw have the Vintage pages but I go to 2019 and have 84 binders. Most are in good shape but as I replace them was looking for a matching upgrade.

Yup, those Blue binders don't hold up over lots of use. My recommendation is to stock up on used binders and replace them (and of course split bulging binders into two binders!) I know one collector that ditched the binders all together and stored the pages in (many) plastic file boxes. One of the few collections I know of that would survive a flood!

Times 2 with GeoffHa on the book binding tape. I run it all the way outside just as soon as I see a failure beginning. Not real pretty but better than the falling apart look.

The solution is simple - three-hole punch your international pages and put them in a green specialty binder, or any other binder you like. Yes, it might take some time.

PS - The difference in page size is minimal and going to the Specialty binder seems to be a MUCH simpler idea than all of the other ideas.
