Ireland 1922 1-D - Extra Watermark - Half Oval? Cross?

Good Morning,

I found a large half oval watermark on an Ireland 1922 1d stamp. Please have a look at the pictures below and let me know what you make of it.

FRONT:


BACK:


BACK IN WM FLUID:


This is the only watermark that should be on the stamp:

Oddly enough, the stamps I found with numbers written on the back of them like "6225" and "6227" have issues with watermarks. I believe someone was trying to designate them by number. Here is another example below...

Not familiar with these stamps but it could be the watermark of the paper...

Thank you for your excellent illustrations of front, back, and in-fluid. It makes it very clear what we are dealing with a watermark question.

Your stamps are printed off-center from their intended placement on the paper. If done as designed, the Crown & GvR images fall entirely on the stamps and the other text ("Postage") falls in the selvage. An interesting oddity.

Thank you John Becker! That is fantastic to know, I was really excited by finding these and now I can lay the issue (and my mind) to rest.

"POSTAGE"

That is a first for me, but then again I'm pretty new to stamp collecting.
