There are two versions of this booklet around which are somewhat different from each other.

One version is from the Collectors Club from 1954 and the other version is from Unitrade from 1982.

The difference between the two versions is that the older version is actually more up to date than the newer version.

What happened is that Boggs first originally wrote an article in two parts in The Collectors Club Philatelist journal Volume 33 Numbers 2 and 3.

Later, The Collectors Club published a booklet that included the information from his article along with new and updated additional information as a booklet.

The Unitrade 1982 booklet is a reproduction of the earlier two part article rather than the later updated 1954 booklet.

Thus, the information in the older 1954 booklet is newer than the information in the 1982 booklet.

It is hoped that if Unitrade ever does do another reprinting that the 1954 booklet is used instead.

See also J. Goldberg, "U.S. Postage Stamp Line Perforation Gauge Measurements," 96 Collectors Club Philatelist 5 (Sep-Oct 2017), at 304. Citing Boggs, the article illustrates early line perforating machines, describes them and rotary perforating wheels and rotary perforating bars, and provides a chart correlating the Kiusalas gauge, philatelic equivalent perf measurements, numbers of pins or holes on perf wheels or bars, wheel or bar size and diameter if applicable, and other data. With 15 illustrations and two tables.

Hi, you might want to obtain a copy of the "Perforation Measurements of United States Stamps by the Bureau Issues Association".

Some of the articles are as such:

Specialized Perforation Gauges by Richard A. Kiusalas.

Determining Perforation without a gauge by Larry Weiss.

Perforation measurement and Scott 544 by Larry Weiss. By the way this is a write up on my unique discovery of 544.

Specialist Gauge Measurement by Larry Weiss.
