Combined Shipping - Not Seeing It

Is telling me he offers combined shipping even though nothing I can see on the attached page clearly states it. We are going back and forth and he keeps referring to 'adding this to your cart' then asking for a combined invoice. Fine if we're dealing with BIN items. This is an auction type listing.

He is offering some stuff I really want to bid on but I don't want to get on the hook for a big shipping bill. Can someone look at the linked listing and maybe see what I am not apparently seeing?

PS I now see a large blurb at the bottom about combined shipping but as mentioned this is an auction type listing. I see no way to follow his instructions.

It would seem he is more geared towards BIN items, looking at his blurb about combined shipping. However, I see no reason why he would not treat auction items in the same manner. He does list all the charges by weight.

As far as I know, it would not be to his advantage to charge you separate shipping charges because of accumulated ebay fees.

Are you using the ebay.ca or the ebay.com website? For BIN items if you can't request a combined invoice off of one website, try the other. For auction items, request an invoice after the auction is over - he should be able to send you one.

Stamps1962, hi, I just checked the glossary and could not find "BIN", I assume you are referring to more than one item? Or maybe BIN is an abbreviation that stands for something else?

If there is something or items you really want, from the seller, just ask the seller what the total shipping would be.

ebay sellers can use an auction format or a buy it now (BIN) format. This seller has 497 items. 247 of the items are BIN.

It is I think on ebay Canada. Funny, I did not see anything about combined shipping when viewing the first time, then later I scrolled down and it was there. I wonder if it has to do with the fact we are working with two different sites or possibly my use of Chrome to use ebay. In any case he suggested I just bid on the auction items I want then request an invoice for combed shipping.

BIN refers to 'Buy It Now'.

BIN is "Buy it Now". I have had problems when combining BIN items with auction items from the same seller. If I recall correctly, there is no real way of doing that.

I am puzzled as to what the issue is. He says that he does offer combined shipping and shows the rates. When the auctions are over and if you have won multiple items, you should be able to send a request for total at that time and he would send you an invoice that includes the shipping. Pretty much the same as when you add several BIN items to your shopping cart and ask for an total.

I have gone through this process many times and the only glitch was when the seller had posted their items on a different ebay site than what I use, e.g. ebay.de vs ebay.com. ebay then incorrectly tells me that the seller does not offer combined shipping. So I log into the foreign ebay site and make the request for a total from there.

That is exactly how I would handle it. Nothing can be done until the auctions have run their course and the winners and winning amounts are known.

When you buy/win multiple items from the same seller they get combined in your purchase history list each with its separate shipping cost. There is a link for "request combined total" or something similar that autogenerates a request to the seller for a combined invoice. Simple.
