Suggestions of what to do with forgeries?

Got it for free, not sure what to do with the line pair.

I have no need for a reference copy like this. Nor do I want to see it go back on the market.

Shall I put it on a letter to my mom?

Hi, put it on a letter to another collector, assuming it is mint.

Very strange suggestion. I would contact our forum member floortrader and see if he can use it in his forgeries data base.

Donate it to the APS/APEX reference collection.

BTW, this is technically a fake which is a genuine item modified to appear as something it is not.

I would mark it fake in the back, so there are no risks in returning in the market.
After that you can donate it or use it.

Hi, would make interesting postage!

I myself have an amount of mint Washington/Franklin stamps, that I use on letters or packages to people I know are stamp collectors. Also have a lot more 20's - 50's mint stamps for the same usages.

Are the stamps forgeries or just the perfs? If the stamps are forgeries you cannot use them as postage........but I guess you can use them as decorations on the envelope. You don't want to use them and shortchange the Postal Service.
