I am using the Plate Block pages produced by this publisher. His latest section has been promised for months now with nothing yet showing. I sent him a message a month ago and got sort of a terse reply that they were being worked on with no clue as to when they'd be available. I like these pages and really hope production issues aren't leading to their discontinuance.

Anyone familiar with this publisher and know what the scoop is?

What is the 'latest' section?

According to the link you provided they say on their website: "Finally, the new Plate Block Stamp Album Supplement Pages for US are starting to be released. More will be added. Part F JUST RELEASED. Part G to be released soon."

so, do you have 'F' and waiting for 'G'?

I have the set through part'F'. Three more units have been issued past that and I was awaiting part 'J' to purchase along with the other parts to update to date.

In case you're wondering why I just don't buy the parts I am missing now, I do not want to be left holding the bag if this publisher does not continue this series. He has been moving the finish line on this all year. I am not being critical, these are very nice pages and I am sure area lot of work to produce. I've just been down this road before with small publishers. I just thought maybe someone on here uses these and may be aware of what is happening.

The owner needs to update the heading on the page referenced. If you scroll down you will see part G was released some time ago.

I'm sympathetic. This is the major reason I won't invest in these kinds of album pages which are entirely dependent on a single person's (presumably) efforts to keep updating. Pages that need regular updates and that are subject to one person creating them are a bit risky. Were that person to lose interest, not make enough money to keep going, get sick or die, and the entire album is finished. Pages produced by a larger company don't work that way. They keep going. I can't imagine Scott, Lighthouse, Davo, or other album pages just coming to an end. They might be delayed at times, I suppose.

One advantage of the self-published pages by Bill Steiner is that, since they've all been published now, presumably even if he stopped selling them anyone using his pages will already have access to the pages he needs at least if he's not worried about the newest stamps. Except later supplements, of course, which is what you're running into.

I am quite fortunate as I collect KGVI. So my Palo albums have a beginning and an end. No updates required.

Agreed, that is indeed an issue with desktop publishers. They start a project and unexpected things crop up. It is often a one person operation and they get bogged down. Earlier in the year he was saying mid March on the latest part, it has been sitting at 'July' since May. Probably he plans to continue but is trying to produce a product that comes up to his own level of satisfaction. These are beautiful pages. At this rate they won't be finished in my lifetime.

Update, no change. This is still showing on the page for his albums:

We are running late with PLATE BLOCK J

our new estimated release date is Mid/Late July 2017

We will post on our home page as well as here when they hit the shelves.'

Two things occur to me. He produces a very quality product and may be having issues getting the next section up to his standard. He may also have other pressing issues; he seems to be continuing producing pages for other album sets he offers. I note he provides a link to his ebay feedback, most of it for the past several months has been for stamp sales. He may not be doing well enough with these plate block pages to justify the production time.

Just giving this a bump, as explained I did ask him directly some time ago and sensed he didn't want to discuss it. Hopefully he will get this resolved.
