Here's a nice one (I think) acquired recently. An advertising/accounts postal card sent from a company in my hometown of St. Catharines Ont.

The Welland Vale Manufacturing Co. manufactured tools from 1869 to 1965.
Here's a website with it's story...

The card looks to be an account update for a gentleman in Douglas Ont.

Postmarked in St. Catharines on November 1 1898 on a UX18 postal card (1¢ carmine rose Queen Vic) and has a faint Douglas Ont. receiver cancel on the back dated November 2.

Also, I happen to have one of their shovels, a spade I inherited from my dear ol' Mom. Still works a treat!

Thanks for that link, 22. I'll include some of that info on the album page.

And thanks Robert. It's kinda neat when you can trace these things to your own past.

Beautiful postcard!

I love finding postal history with personal connections like that. One of the postcards written in Esperanto that I have in my collection was addressed to a house (no longer there) in the same block as the place where I work. I also have a postcard of the RMS Aquitania, which was the ship that brought my grandmother to America, and the person who wrote it was an Armenian immigrant who arrived in 1924, just like my grandmother.
