I'm undecided about this one, is it really imperf, or has it been trimmed down? Welcome opinions from everybody. Stampmaster

I would like to see the complete stamp, but the edge shown shows every indication of having been trimmed using a steel rule or something similar, and might well be genuine. |

I have seen hundreds of similar edges, but the whole stamp must be shown to make any real judgement. |

If that is a perf hole, why aren't there any more perf holes on either side of it? The paper level is more then high enough at that point. |

There are other partial perf holes. The right quarter top contains another well defined semicircle. |

But there is paper most of the way across that is approximately level with those two indentations. If they were actually perf holes there would be a lot more of them. Those are simply part of the general unevenness resulting from being torn with a rule. |

Could be revcollector. I just cannot see a ruler torn edge producing a distinct semicircle or two. It would be enough doubt for me to pass if I were contemplating purchasing it. |

Bart is correct. Without seeing the entire stamp, you can't make an assessment. I'm not quite sure what the porpose is of showing only that top edge rather than the entire stamp. The overall raggedness of that edge is EXACTLY what you see on the $10 imperfs when torn against a steel ruler. Here is an example of such an imperf showing this raggedness. (Rogdcam, to address your last comment above, you can see similar "perfesque" divots along the right side of my example. It's the result of quick ragged tearing. Obviously not perforations, as they run deeper than any other indentations along that side. If they were residual perforations you would see more of them.): |

Oh yeah going to have to see a lot more than this. Would not hurt to give a full photo of the back too. |

It was probably used as a $1 stamp. If only they had left it on the document.................. |
