Looks like the hand written cancel is from 1875. So does this mean it must be either the a or c color variety? If so, it seems there is no value for a used c from 1875. Any ideas on what this maybe worth?

hello from that image it's hard to tell the color, but it's most likely a 37a. For both stamps (a and c) there is a value given for used stamps in Michel, 50 and 300 EUR.
Here you can compare perhaps a bit your color:

(although those scans aren't color-proof all as well)

Michel lists a catalog value of €50 for MiNr 37 a and €500 for MiNr 37 c with manuscript cancels from 1875.
