"Scott' is a commonly used catalog. You can use the 'Pop-up' identifier for US stamps on Stamp Smarter to find your stamp as shown here...
Welcome to the forum. Scott numbers refer to Scott's stamp catalog, where every stamp has been assigned a number. These catalogs are available in most public libraries. The stamps you mentioned are common, recent USA stamps.
These two US stamps are Scott #1010 and #1015. Scott Postage Stamp Catalogue is the most used stamp catalogue in the US among collectors. The LaFayette issue was issued June 13 1952 and the Newspaper Boys stamp was issued on Oct. 4 1952. They are worth a penny each used condition. The examples shown are mint condition.
Wow! Thanks for all the valuable information. Surprised to hear that these 65 year old stamps (in excellent unused condition) are not worth more than face value. But I can see why they might be part of someone's collection....so beautiful!
