Dear Stamp Community Family

Does anybody recognize this tab/ornamental field (Zierfeld in german)?

First I suspected France or one of its former colonies. But the patterns that France usually has on their ornamental fields are finer and smaller. Of the figures depicted, it could also be something Central or South American. But right now, I have no idea.

Thanks for any hint.

Best regards from Switzerland

André

Looks Central American, perhaps Mexico.

That's all I have,

Robert

I would think more Pacific islands than anything else, maybe even back again to the former French colonies. I'm also thinking 1960s or later (which doesn't help all that much).

Comparison of the paper and gum to whatever you might have in those areas might help.

Dear Trainwreck, dear hy-brasil

Thanks for your advice.

I think it would have to be a bigger coincidence if one day I should stumble across this ornamental field while browsing through a catalogue.

Best regards from Switzerland

André
