They had an auction at the Richmond APS show in August. I haven't heard anything about a shut-down (but I agree it looks like their website is down). |

The status of their domain via a whois shows pending renewal or deletion. The website is locked to prevent transfer and chances are someone forgot to renew the domain. |

Every time I've ever called them one of the owner's has answered. I always thought these guys need a secretary! On the other hand they've always treated me well. |

My understanding is that the Schau of Harmer-Schau is no longer connected with the company, but Chris Harmer is continuing to run the company and hard at work. |

Definitely smells like the metaphorical "someone forgot to pay the light bill" scenario, but in this case, it was the domain-name renewal.
I bought a few neat covers in their sale last month. Nice stuff, and no problems getting them. |

They are still in business (next auction in January) and are working on getting the web site back up. (and yes, Chris H is still there, but Kurt S did retire - Rusty Shoaf has taken his place) |
