I am wondering if anyone knows. They no longer have a website.

They had an auction at the Richmond APS show in August. I haven't heard anything about a shut-down (but I agree it looks like their website is down).

The status of their domain via a whois shows pending renewal or deletion. The website is locked to prevent transfer and chances are someone forgot to renew the domain.

Every time I've ever called them one of the owner's has answered. I always thought these guys need a secretary! On the other hand they've always treated me well.

My understanding is that the Schau of Harmer-Schau is no longer connected with the company, but Chris Harmer is continuing to run the company and hard at work.

Definitely smells like the metaphorical "someone forgot to pay the light bill" scenario, but in this case, it was the domain-name renewal.

I bought a few neat covers in their sale last month. Nice stuff, and no problems getting them.

They are still in business (next auction in January) and are working on getting the web site back up. (and yes, Chris H is still there, but Kurt S did retire - Rusty Shoaf has taken his place)
