Bileski also found that exposing this issue to the Winnipeg sun caused some really wild color changes and offered sets of the them as changlings.

nirsc61: welcome to the Forum.

I bought some stuff from Bileski a few years before he passed away and have some similar write-ups, but different material.

I am far from Canada and any knowledge of the stamps even farther. Which brings me to why I'm commenting on this topic. I felt quite small this past week, as I have a Canadian collection of stamps ( bought for me by a relative as part of a large collection of different areas). Anyway, its been in my keeping for awhile now, and I was communicating with someone about them (stamps), thinking K Bileski was a woman. I decided to look up the name, as I was questioned in a puzzling manner. That's when I shrunk.

That being said, alot of the items are in neat small to big envelopes, typed simply with 1 liner titles to entire addresses. When you pull out the stamps , you can pull out pieces of paper with it. Typed on the papers with the stamps are explanations. One set of Postage due stamps has 3 different explanations. Then he has explanations on errors, mapping them out in detail. The "changlings" you speak of above, he has normal in one row and I suppose the differentiated types in a row just below it. Has a note explaining, but I didnt quite get till now.

I'm still looking up the name, but as always appreciate this community for the information. I just wanted to share. I usually head a topic, but didnt this time. Thank you. TJA

Have heard many stories about Bileski (please, someone correct the name on title!).

In some circles he was known as "Cashman" as he was old-school and paid in cash. Late in life while in Toronto for an auction he had trouble checking in at his hotel because he didn't have a credit card! The auction house of course guaranteed his stay.
