wow, can't believe I missed out on almost five years of posting!

I'm a worldwide collector since 1970 (aged 11) with an emphasis on the "classic" era (1840-1940). Since my grandfather and uncles in Germany got me started, I also tend to collect anything Germany related, especially Inflation-era postal history (1920-1923), Soldiers' mail (Feldpost) P.O.W. mail, etc.

I also am an accumulator--with an eye to becoming a dealer one day--of worldwide postal history. I especially like any covers/cards/newspaper wrappers; mail that was returned or forwarded, registered/insured/censored/postage due, actually any item with auxiliary markings. The more a story, the better!

I also have been gravitating towards "Cinderella" items (back-of-the-book, fiscals, philatelic exhibition labels, etc. ESPECIALLY if they are tied or on piece/cover.

A certain fondness as well for old-time dealer correspondence: Roessler, Nassau Street NYC dealers, Gebrueder Senf, Karl Hennig, et al.

I've posted hundreds of times elsewhere under the same username, so you'll definitely be hearing more from me as time permits.

"Welcome"

I'm awarding you two happy strawberries for what I suspect is the award for the greatest amount of time between Registration and First Post

But you are definitely welcome and we look forward to learning more about your collection.
