Hello again, I start a new post to continue learning about stamps, now I have some doubts arround my Austrian newspapers stamps. Firs I upload two picture, one of a complete magazine newspaper and other of a yellow mercury. There is more, but I prefer to learn step by step,

Various reprints & forgeries;many types Your yellow Mercury looks authentique in my opinion.The yellow stamp is not easy examining because of the lack of contrast.Most forgeries are more clear-cut and contrasted in their color.In Philasearch there are some nice examples that resemble your stamp.. The other Mercury (Mi No. 6-8) are not so easy to distinguish only from the types. Incredible Perf12, you are a good and valious member for this forum. I must to tell thanks again. Later ill upload a better image for the other one, and ill upload other newspaper stamps, included a red mercury forgery. Thanks. |

Thanks, I think is a II or IIb type, but I dont know why have something like an "o" in the frame of "stampel". Very thanks. |

I would say IIb.There is a sub type of IIb but the cancel covers the spot.Have too find the exact name of the variety with the o in the right of the lower frame.Apparently these kinds of spots and forms in these stamps are numerous. |

Nice, im learning much with you Perf12. Is a pleasure find people that love stamps. I want to open a new post, but is very delicate. Transvaal stamps. Im trying to buy a expertising book. Maybe is my next post. Thanks again perf12.
