I 'Inherited' A Collection And Sick Mom Requests Appraisal

Here's the thing- we have no money for appraisals and I have no idea what I'm doing
They were my grandmothers and thats the most I know. This is an odd collection as its mostly South American countries and outside of Cuba, she didn't know anyone from those places. Any insight at all would be helpful- if you are familiar with appraisal, please quote. If you have an idea why or where she might've accumulated all these, please enlighten me! Thanks guys.

Hi New2this, and welcome to this forum. Looks like you have some nice stuff there, but most of the pictures are ay too small to be able to tell anything. My suggestion to you is to go to http://stamps.org and find a stampclub near you. You can go to one of their regular monthly meetings and someone can give you better advise.

Someone has plainly been through these in the past and indicated Scott catalogue numbers. From what I can tell from the pictures, these are all low-value stamps, plus a few probable forgeries of early material (sixth picture). As they include prices, as well as catalogue numbers, beneath the stamps, I suspect that they are pages from an old approval book of the type circulated at stamp clubs or via the mail.

Very difficult to examine your stamps.....a lot seem ordinary and low value stamps - Good Luck and welcome to the Forum !

As others have mentioned, the value is primarily that these were from a family member. A great start on building new family memories, I would recommend holding to them even if you do not have an immediate interest; someone in your family may enjoy stamp collecting in the future.
