I was looking through some of the older stamps that I had and I noticed these peculiar stamps. From the research that I did, I believe it looks like a precancel, but I can't seem to find any mention of such modern precancel stamps anywhere. Can someone tell me a bit more about these stamps? Thanks.

Cinereous....chasa is correct as per the "The standard Canada precancel catalogue"

And Trodent "Unitrade Scott # 714xx Precancel May 1978"
