Here are images of the two stamps in a set depicting ships: Research vessel Var, and support ship Polarbjørn, designed by Serge Markó (1926- ), engraved by Claude Haley (1923-1988), and issued for use in French Southern and Antarctic Territories on January 1, 1986, Scott Nos. 123 & 124.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting the paddle wheeler SS Great Eastern laying cable, designed by Duarte Nuno Simões, printed by lithography, and issued by Portugal on November 21, 1970 as one of a set of four stamps commemorating the centenary of the submarine telegraph cable linking Portugal and Great Britain, Scott No. 1080.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting Las Palmas (A-52), a Spanish polar research vessel used to service research bases in Antarctica, printed by lithography, and issued by Spain on December 27, 1991 as one of a set of two stamps commemorating the 1959 Antarctic Treaty, Scott No. 2666, plus a photo of this ship.

Neptune Orient Lines was founded in December, 1968 as the national container shipping company of Singapore. In November 1978, Singapore issued a set of 4 multicolor lithograph-printed stamps to celebrate the 10th anniversary of NOL. They are: 10c Neptune Spinel (bulk carrier), 35c Neptune Aries (tanker), 50c Anro Temasek (container ship), and 75c Neptune Pearl (container ship).

Here is an image of an airmail stamp depicting a weather survey frigate, and the WMO emblem, designed and engraved by French artist Gilbert Aufschneider (1927- ), and issued by Niger on March 23, 1966 to commemorate the 6th World Meteorological Day, Scott No. C55.

Here is an image of an airmail stamp depicting the passenger and mail ship El Kantara passing through the Panama Canal, designed and engraved by French artist Claude Haley (1923-1988), and issued for use in New Caledonia on March 24, 1973 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Marseille-Nouméa direct sea link via the canal, Scott No. C100, plus an image of a photograph of the El Kantara in 1933.

SS Fuerte Ventura, printed by photogravure, and issued for use in Spanish Sahara on June 1, 1966 as one of a set of three stamps benefiting child welfare funds, Scott No. 168.
