I bought a group of these oddball stamps 25 years ago for about $10 each.
Now I see that identical copies are being offered for considerably more than what I paid (inflation I guess):

I don't consider these "provisional overprints" to be genuine, unless someone can show them tied to a document?
Or knows more about them perhaps?
