Absolutely!
You'll have the chance to see world class exhibits of stamps and covers you may never see again in your lifetime. There will be many society meetings and a dealer bourse to keep you looking and buying for as long as your stamp budget allows.
There will be auctions at the show as well, so you may be able to pick up something special for your collection.
The opportunity to meet friends and make new ones cannot be discounted either.
Should you go? Start making plans now! |

It's been my experience that there were no auctions at previous recent Ameristamp Expos; there have usually been at least two at the summer shows. Maybe it'll be different this time around. Still well worth attending though. |

We do not have any auctions planned for AmeriStamp at this point.
While I know buying online is easier, there will be some incredibly knowledgable dealers with great material there. Depending on your preference for material, you can make some connections that will pay off long past the show.
AmeriStamp is also where the Champion of Champions competition for single-frame exhibiting, plus a pretty competitive Youth Exhibiting Competition, the winner gets a cash prize thanks to our sponsor. Speaking of young collectors, the Young Philatelic Leaders Fellowship has a booth there and we have not only them selling stamps, covers, and other material at great prices, but you'll likely meet other young collectors. We don't have a final count on the visiting societies, but you'll definitely be able to connect with some great groups.
This is as close as we may get to you in the near future, I hope you'll come for a day or two. If you need anything regarding the show, you're welcome to contact me directly at scott@stamps.org.

While we are targeting AmeriStamp for the new website, this is still being developed. Right now, I am looking to pilot something for Summer Seminar and StampShow in Columbus. |

Brilliant idea there Scott on the Summer Seminars...if they could be made available via an econnect program I would certainly pay a "tuition" fee in order to virtually attend programs of interest. |

We have great support for the program, which is as popular for the social aspects as the classes. But if we can offer course of interest for folks who cannot attend that week or need to stay in a budget, I am hoping this gives them a better opportunity. |

I live in Nashville and attended the Ameristamp Expo in Louisville about 3-4 years ago. That was right at 3 hours for me and I really enjoyed it. The exhibits were great, plus I had a chance to personally inspect and buy (much to my wife's chagrin) some items I'm not comfortable buying on ebay or via mail. I spent a full day there. Well worth it. |
