Both are dull lake, and in the Scott Classics, the notation at the bottom of the series for #22 states that the field containing "centavos" for #22 is straight. However Scott notes that #22 is A3 design, and #27 is A5-- but #22 is really A5 with the straight line "centavos".
Both are rouletted, so I can't tell from the catalogue if there is a difference, and how to ID.
And the best reference of all, IMO, is JK's Big Blue blog, but for one of the VERY few times, there isn't any answer on the blog.
Anyone have a suggestion, and I thought I might try here first Thanks so much! Ray
RAY-- I got both stamps in my collection and can show them later .-----The first one Scott 22 has the word "centavos" thru the 5 . The other one Scott 27 has the word "centavos" below the 5 .
