Sorry but I am not following this. I see no scan of the back of this scan, did the seller pull it? I assume 'moglh' means mint original gum lightly hinged.

Where's the thin?

Assuming the stamp is thinned by the low price and not showing the reverse perhaps? I would need more info to actually determine. Like a scan of the reverse of course.

Those perforation holes on top are much smaller than all of the others. Hmmm.

Bottom right corner possibly showing evidence of thinning. Agree that back pic needed (and maybe view of actual stamp) to be sure.

I assume the original poster is saying that the stamp must have a thin because the price is too cheap otherwise and that's the reason the seller has not provided a scan of the reverse side, or I could be wrong.

A quick in-category search on ebay turned up more than 200 other listings for Scott 550, some from well known or well regarded sellers. Why bother with the rest?

Although inefficient, ebay search generally turns up more stamps matching the Scott number than anyone would ever want to view, but it is unfortunate that some sellers never review their listings for errors:

Bargain hunters will continue to get burned if looking for a low price without checking other listings from the seller. Lack of specific descriptions should be a warning indicator. Offering uncertified perf 12 Washington/Franklin coils is a red flag.

Why worry about an undisclosed thin or hinge remnant on a "lightly hinged" stamp when so many others are available? When sellers use nonstandard abbreviations or meaningless sequences of lower case letters, don't expect them have any standard meaning. Avoid listings where any abbreviation in the title is not spelled out or defined in the body of the listing.

I can understand someone on a budget accepting lower grade stamps if they feel they cannot afford better. I have done that to fill higher valued pre 1900 spaces. This stamp is commonly available in the $20 range. I just fail to see the logic of anyone buying this.
