Help with colors. I'm kinda color blind let me know what you see. There is a big differance in these. Thanks

Stampman, your pictures are backlit? That makes it very hard if not impossible to see the true colors. Can you scan these all in one operation?

There on a white paper no back light. Should I put them on a dark paper background.

None of these has remotely enough orange in them to be vermilion.

red is red. claret is dark red/burgundy. vermillion is orange red.

Vermilion actually runs from orange red to red orange depending on the particular stamp and which bank note company printed it.

It is unfortunate Scott's terminology that the VERMILION of the 2 cent banknote stamp SC 183 does not look anything like the VERMILION of the postage dues J29/J30.
