On June 3, 1985 Faroe Islands issued this set of three stamps depicting paintings by Faroese artists in the collection of the Faroese Museum of Art. All three stamps are combined engraved by Czeslaw Slania and offset, Scott Nos. 127-129, Facit Nos. 120-122. - nethryk The Garden (Hoyvik, 1973), by Tummus Arge (1942-1978).  Self-portrait, by Ruth Smith (1913-1958).  Winter Day (Nólsoy, 1959), by Steffan Danielsen (1922-1976). |

Here are images of the three stamps in a children's art set, combined engraved by Czeslaw Slania and lithogravure, and issued by Faroe Islands on October 1, 1979 for the International Year of the Child, Scott Nos. 45-47, Facit Nos. 47-49, plus the IYC logo (yet another topic to collect?!) - nethryk  Girl in costume, by Edel Davidsen (8). An amazing collection of miniature art pieces here! To try to "limit" my collecting since there is such variety, I go for stamps featuring art by artists from the issuing country or paintings found in a museum in the issuing country e.g. The State Hermitage Museum, St Petersburg, Russia . Here are paintings by a Singapore artist, LIU KANG. The stamps were issued in 2004   |

I think, back on page 3 of this thread, someone mentioned Chagall's glass. Shown it before, but here again is a se-tenant panel of Chagall's stained glass issued by the UN.  |

Here is an image of a semi-postal stamp designed after an oil painting (c. 1630-1640) by Flemish Baroque painter Cornelis de Vos (1584–1651) entitled Zwei Töchter des Malers (The Artist's Two Daughters), engraved by Jean De Bast, and issued by Belgium on December 5, 1964 to benefit anti-tuberculosis work, Scott No. B771, plus an image of de Vos's painting. - nethryk   |
