I don't understand your title --- nothing about "briefcases" in your link.
But if you're talking about actual briefcases, then yes, I've seen many collectors carrying them at stamp shows. |

I use a backpack and a large plastic container to protect the stamps. It's very easy lose a briefcase. |

I use a rubbermaid portable file (hard plastic case with handle) at stamp shows. Tongs, loupe, and black light can be carried easily with plenty of room for purchases. |

I'd think stamps would be safer in a hard briefcase than in this thing dangling from a belt. |

I always used to carry a briefcase to shows. I could carry an album, and a book or two, along with the supplies I might need.
I will say, I recall one notable theft, where a collector, I believe had his briefcase taken from him in front of the Javits center in NYC. So, it is true, that they can be a target. |
