Funnily enough, the person who prompted me to learn about this and start this thread (Mister Fred Rogers) will be honored with a stamp next March! So while my original mission has been fulfilled, I enjoy reading about the other people/causes/events the rest of you bring to my attention. Thanks for sharing your ideas here (and I hope you submit them to the committee).

Thanks Dearhenry,

I would like to nominate William James. We recently had a stamp on honor of brother Henry. the novelist, but never for philosopher William.

I think Paul Tillich is also worth a stamp.
