I know this is a very late arrival to this topic. In regard to springback binders wearing out over time, they hold up very well even after many years if you're not constantly adding or removing pages. No matter what kind of album format you work with, constant movement takes its toll. Three, four-ring or multi- hole binders are great for pages laying flat, but over time the friction on the holes takes its toll, especially if the album is not at capacity. Two-post binders have the same issues. It's why they sell those mylar hole reinforcements.
Personally, I'll stick with a (Full) two-post or springback because of the lack of wear on the pages. I can work around the pages not being flat.

No matter what, expect that time will take its toll on any binder and the more it's features are used, the sooner they will wear out.
