The Kelantan Chef's Hat set is interesting from a collector's perspective. Despite being fairly rare and expensive, all the stamps were issued together except the 2 high values which were issued 3 years later. Many collectors and dealers must have been tuned in to completing the sets because full sets can be found fairly easily. Or, perhaps it was because album pages printed in the 1940s or 50s included the 2 high values. Similarly, the North Borneo set from this era was issued all at once in 1939 so while rare, it is obtainable as a complete set.
By comparison, similar long sets from Johore, Perak, and Trengganu are virtually impossible to find complete except occasionally in auctions. These 3 sets can take a lot of effort to complete.
