Looking For An English Michael Catalog - Preferably One I Can Download

Hi everyone,

I am steeped in stamps, it is getting out of hand - need to buy small containers to organize by country so I can get them in some sort of order - I do not have an album, don't really want one yet, need to figure out what I am doing.

In the meantime, I am looking for a downloadable version of the english Michel catalog, not worried about the year so much - just that it isn't in Greman - meine deutche ist nicht gut - I would like to be able to
read it.

Julie, I have no idea, but why a Michel? I have suggested http://stampworld.com to you before. It is not specialized and gives a picture of every stamp, something that most catalogs do not do. If you can not get past the first page you may need to open an account, which is free. For a worldwide collector this free catalog is great

Stationery supply store, Staples?
Buy A5 binders ($4 each) with plastic pages (refills $2 for about 50?)
Buy removable stickers (roll $3)

Label your individual page with the stamp's country, expand as required
Has worked for 10 years for me.
Still in use.

Sound healthy and fitting.
This is how most of us started, collect everything, and gradually, you'll get ideas / preferences beginning to meld, and you start heading in certain directions.

Looks like a perfect solution for my WW sorting needs. Binders and pages will be added to an Amazon order that I am placing in the near future.

Michel: Trucial States catalogue.

Thank you for the title of the volume that I need Randy, I appreciate the information very much. That will definitely help me find what I am looking for.:) Julie

How is your russian

Trucial states ( Middle East). 1264 pages, more than 10 000 coloured images.
The most complete catalogue of the area including. The United Arab Emirates, Umm El Quwain, Trucial states, Sharjah, Khor-Fakkan, Ras Al Khaima, Fujairah, Duba, Abu Dhab, Ajman, Manama, Oman, State of Oman, Dhufar.

If you haven't checked already, the English version is now called "Gulf States" in English. Volumes do not necessarily come out every year (certainly not all the English versions). The latest English one is apparently 2013 and does come in CD-ROM. Old/used ones are hard to come by in the US. You might check the site that sells books whose name is apparently forbidden here.

Be aware the prices are highly inflated.

I know you guys over the pond use inches...so A5 binder is 9" tall x 8" wide

I live in a dry environment, with humidity, watch sorting stamps with gum this way, they could adhere ! tragedy....
You can still pop in glassine first, if need be.

Indeed. I will be getting 8.5" by 11" binders.

As for humidity, "The Land of Enchantment" is very dry. Moreover, I only collect used. :)

I examined your pictures very closely for clues but could not find any - did notice that you have a heck of a lot of countries and an index for the binders - wow you are really organized, and do I understand correctly you have your cataloged stamps in a database, if so I am impressed with what I have seen so far.

And Peter, I am going to give stampworld my email address, but am annoyed by the request - they are harvesting email addresses, which I was warned they do. Oh well, I get tons of junk mail already, whats a few more, right? Thank you for pointing it out to me again, I appreciate it, I don't want to sound ungrateful for your help.
