I did find this constant variety on the 2 cents (Scott / Unitrade 254). It is found in the right stamp of the horizontal pair, and the bottom stamp of the vertical pair.


They both have an engraver's slip or a bulging upper line, which goes across from the "FOUND", as shown:


And they both have a small guide dot (?) at the same location at the bottom left.

If you want to check stamps for for watermarks on piece. Just buy yourself a small powerful LED lamp. Works pretty good as long as the paper is not really thick.
