What do I do with this, I have no clue. Any help is appreciated. Thank you for any and all advice. I was wondering if there is a trade value for these kind of stamps. Here a a few photos H. E. Harris & CO. 1960 Thank you, Mike H. *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Just so you know, it's about 400 pgs, not all have been postmarked or adhered. I just picked a couple pages for photos. Some pages are full and some only have 3 or 4 stamps on them. A guy at a stamp/coin shop tried to pull one over on me saying they were not worth anything, bit offered to trade some Morgan's for the whole package |

I agree with mdroth and Stamps1962...give it to a kid.
With about 400 pages, you'll invest way too much time to find (if you're lucky) a few stamps worth more than a couple of dollars each. If you legitimately believe that there may be higher value to it, take it to a local dealer or two and ask them for their opinion. Whatever you choose to do, I wish you luck in your endeavor. |

I agree that nothing shown has any value. Chances are if the US portion lacks depth the rest of the collection will as well. |

To add a bit of context to the above comments: it appears to be a typical "beginner" stamp collection that most collectors start with before upgrading to more specialized or comprehensive types of collecting.
Realistically, I don't think the guy at the stamp/coin shop was trying to put on over on you, at least based upon what is shown. However, the devil is in the details of what we can't see.
On its face, the trade for several morgans wasn't a bad offer. |

Agreed- I'd grab the Morgans. Everything shown is quite common and in some of the spaces where there would be scarcer stamps (such as $1, $2, and $5 face Presidential issues), there are hinge remainders still attached to the pages meaning the stamps may have been there at one time but they have since been picked through and removed. Hey- anyone want to buy a deep collection of slabbed MS64 Morgans? I think it's time to convert them to stamps! |

Shermae, do you have a link where I can research some of these other countries by chance? India, France, G.B. and Poland etc? Are forign countrie stamps worth the look? Forget posting all the pics, but if you have any thoughts or country suggestions I'd really appreciate it. Just a thought. I'll send you out a Morgan for the trouble, but it's going to be below BU FYI.

When these beginner albums were put together, the stamps that were chosen to be illustrated in them were mostly common ones. Also, the same companies that printed these albums also sold different common stamp packets that made filling their albums easier. |
