My new acquisitions.

1986 Christmas mini-sheet. An error due to a paper fold prior to guillotining. This is a unique error and very scarce. the mini-sheet is mint unhinged.

1978 18 cent HAWKER. A block of 4 with a very pale blue background colour. (Normal shade at right for comparison).

More to come.

And as Monty Python would say "And now for something totally different"

My cat Snowy, he is part Oriental and part Siamese, he has pink ears, a pink nose and yellow eyes, and is celebrating his 7th birthday.

Hi Rod

That's where I get my stamps from (have been doing so for nearly 5 years), I recommend Andy and Richard highly, I just got these from them (my Xmas present to myself).

Hi Peter

Thanks for the comment, they are quite an interesting set. Snowy is my little boy and I'm very attached to him, he doesn't look 7, unlike his owner he doesn't show his age.

Hi Al

I sometimes am told certain stamps of interest on the list before it comes out, which gives me an opportunity to purchase what I need before the price list is made available as on my want list I requested to be informed if any unique and other very unusual varieties come into the arena.

The Juzwins have on that specialised list I gave them of other stamps I want to buy; when one or more comes in I am told prior to the listing being sent out or I will find one that accidentally ended up being listed in the catalogue, one such variety was on this current list, now it is on its way to me.

Such as the B.C.O.F. proofs, they know I want the red overprint 3d proof, when it comes (or should I say, if it comes in) I will be informed and it will not be included on the list.

As I am always with my mobile if I see something on the new price list, I give a call, buy the item over the phone and it is sent to me by next day express post, sometimes the image remains on the list for a very short time even though the item has been sold; this has happened to me at times when I wanted an item, such things happen.

I always ask for a full 600dpi image of the stamp(s) I buy prior to delivery to be sent by email so I can add the image to my photo record of my collection, which I sometimes will also post online (thus having the stamp posted even though the catalogue is only a few hours old),

Once I actually receive the item(s) I then add them to my collection and will post the collection with the item(s) included providing further evidence that I actually have them, which I have always done in the past.

Below is an image sent to me a few months ago relating to 4 MUH B.C.O.F. proofs, they were just advertised online, within the hour I bought them and had the image below (A) sent to me with all the info including prices for each stamp for valuation purposes, the next day I posted each image online, image (B) from a recent post added to a proof I already had.

(A)

(B)

The price tag on the ½d roo was meant for the gold overprint and vice versa.

They came into my collection by next day courier; they can be viewed on Stamp Smarter in the Australian collection.

P.S. All 4 stamps came with Ceremuga Certificates and I will gladly upload these certificates on request.

Rob

OK, silly question. But in this case, all of the perforations are very normal ... the only error seems to be in the guillotine cut. Therefore, if one had an uncut press sheet, couldn't one just use scissors and create the same error? Maybe I'm missing something.

Doubt Juzwins would call it "Spectaculor & Unique" if they had more than one

And as I said I sometimes put the images up prior to receiving the items as I have done many times in the past, the B.C.O.F. proofs are an example, the very thin #163;2 Coat-of-Arms and #163;1 Robe specimen are two others.

Everything I show I either have or I am going to have in my collection, everything I have shown in the recent past I now have in my collection.

Andy is a very good friend and I will be speaking to him tomorrow about the variety in question.

True, when I get it I'll show it again alongside a few of my varieties.

You may also ask him why I got your email (addressed to you) sent to me too.
