This year i've mainly been trying to source the many error's of the 1967 EFTA stamps,

the plane missing green has proved to be very scarce and as yet iv not found a copy and then there's others.

This however was purchased on ebay as a used block of 6 with no other description, it also has a matching set of six

its actually cancelled on first day of issue and shows the broken strut flaw to middle right,

I guess this is a Scarce usage.

Jony, I think we'd all like to find a copy with missing green, listed at £3750! Is the "broken strut" flaw priced in the GB specialised catalogue? I only have the Commonwealth catalogue. 1st day usage with a error will certainly put a premium on a stamp with an error.

Hi Tim, missing green and red will complete for me 715 , both mega expensive, catalogue value in my old catalogue is £25 mint no price for used but I'm using a 2011 catalogue,

Hi Jony,

That's a very nice block.

I've not seen that error before and I looked it up in my old SG Commonwealth Varieties catalogue.

This error is in position R. 13/6 (i.e. stamp 6 in row 13).

SG (2014) lists the "broken strut" variety as 716h at £40. Doesn't seem to be a distinction between used or mint.

It would be 716ph as this is the phosphor version, there are more flaws in this issue as well as at least one flyspeck I know of.

Hi itma,

I'm not sure about this although I don't have a 2014 edition in front of me.

SG normally just gives prices for these errors, missing colours, etc. only for mint stamps.

My old SG Commonwealth Varieties catalogue of 1981 only gives prices for unmounted mint stamps and says, "Prices are not quoted for used stamps, since varieties tend not to be collected in this condition".

I realise of course that I'm quoting a very old catalogue but I don't see any evidence in my SG Concise that SG's policy has changed.

"since varieties tend not to be collected in this condition" love those words ,because it means that you got a green light to build a highly specialized collection with a good chance to pick up some very rare items .
I started a new interest this year of used single U.S. PNC ,very few people even look at them.

I totally agree, I have full sheets of the efta stamps with all the flaws, but yet to find any on first day covers, the known missing colour Fcd's are well documented by Pierron but I'm sure there's still more yet to be discovered, I recently bought 715 missing lilac on fdc ,1 of three known but have yet to see any others for sale.

This is my copy of Missing lilac on first day cover, there are three known all the same as this one, in my opinion the worst of the three but I never see them come up for sale with a lot of the other missing colours only known as one confirmed.
