Received this on a letter the other day from fellow member graphis
in Ottawa.

Looks like PC ( Politically Correct? Progressive Conservatives? lol) but more likely for Post Office.

Where was this applied?
At the sorting station?
By the letter carriers?

Anyone seen this or similar type of cancellation before?

I would agree with the direction taken by Battlestamps - a generic undated, mute PC representing "Postes Canada" for a clerk or carrier to use on skips.

Could be Privy Councillor

Quote:
The post-nominal letters are necessary to denote that someone is a privy councillor because in Canada holding a certain office can also allow the use of The Honourable title

Just a thought...Robert

I am wondering if this is some type of 'emergency' cancellation? There may be a possibility that the office this was processed in has a damaged regular canceller and this is used until they receive another permanent canceller? Again, just a thought.

Hi all. This is an old topic but I am pretty sure this is a personal stamp applied by a stamp dealer. I have received some over the past few months.
