Australia will again be on the world stage hosting the XXI Commonwealth Games at the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia from April 4, to April 15, 2018. This is the 4th Commonwealth Games Australia will be hosting, and following along the lines of tradition, commemorative stamps honouring the Games will be issued.
So I thought a little display of all the issues printed since 1962 will be a nice way to recognise Australia's important athletic event, second only to the Olympic Games.
1962 Perth - VII Commonwealth Games (issued November 1, 1962)
1982 Brisbane - XII Commonwealth Games (issued September 22, 1982)
Queen's Birthday with 2006 XVIII Commonwealth Games Logo (issued May 10, 2005)
 2006 Melbourne - XVIII Commonwealth Games (propaganda, 1st issue - January 12, 2006)
 2006 Melbourne - XVIII Commonwealth Games (2nd issue - March 1, 2006)

Very nice "montage" Rob - Canada has hosted the Commonwealth Games four times. |

Hi Renden
I believe Canada hosted the Commonwealth Games in 1930, 1954, 1978 and 1994. And that Canada carries the distinction of hosting the very first Commonwealth Games at Hamilton in 1930.
I just added the 2006 self-adhesive propaganda stamp which I forgot to include.

As Canada hosted the 1st British Empire Games in 1930, Sydney hosted the 3rd in 1938. No stamps were issued for that event. You have only shown a small proportion of the stamps issued for the Melbourne Games of 2006:
Australia, 2005, SG 2522 (stamp issued for the Queen's 79th Birthday, featured Commonwealth Games logo) Australia, 2006, SG 2575, 2596-2598, MS2599, MS2599c, 2600 Australia, 2006, SG MS2607 (Opening Ceremony Miniature Sheet) Australia, 2006, SG MS2608-MS2621 (14 miniature sheets featuring Australian Gold Medal winners) Australia, 2006, SG MS2622 (Closing Ceremony Miniature Sheet) Australia, 2006, SG MS2623 ("Most Memorable Moment" Miniature Sheet (Women's Marathon))

Hi Renden
I do not collect mini-sheets as I view them as duplicates, though there are collectors who collect them as well.
Those Canadian stamps look nice, and I see that part of the 1994 set happen to be two se-tenant pairs.
