Hello From A New Collector!

I'm from Montana. Just started collecting a few days ago after finding a huge bunch of boxes full of stamp stuff in a storage auction. Figured I'd just resell it but found it all too interesting to get rid of after all.

I'm still learning but the basics seem simple enough and I'm lucky to have a good amount of material out of the gate. So hopefully can find some friends around here.

I am also new here and am a new collector too. Finding this forum was fabulous for me as they are very helpful here and are very knowledgeable philatelic people who are very willing to help with any questions that may come up as you figure out what you will do with your stamps.
I started with a large box full of packets of stamps, it is great fun learning with everyone's help here. I hope you have as great an experience here as I am having. Welcome! Julie

Welcome to the group! I lived in North and South Dakota in years passed so you being from Montana caught my eye.
Many of us collectors dream of finding a treasure trove of stamps like you did. Are yours mostly USA stamps or different countries?

Welcome to our fun group!

I started out 49 years ago at age nine with just a few duplicates from family members who collected. Only very sparingly were stamps shared with me; I guess I was too young to be serious, but I truly was!

My mind would have gone crazy with loads of stamps, so make sure you go slow or at least at a comfortable pace.

We may not have all the answers, but by golly SOMEONE will know about or know where to FIND OUT about ANYTHING you could post!

Collectively this is by far the best resource for anything related to stamps!
