The allignements are important for detecting forgeries.In the link an excellent examination.The old trick is removing some of the central
dot's and Numerals and placing a forged anchor in the middle.This may dupe someone on a loose stamp quiet easily.

so the anchor should be placed in the middle (symmetry) of the losange?

It also appears that the dots on the original are varied in size as compared to the example at the link provided. Good bit of information, thanks perf12.

The dots depend on the canceler,inking, and usage of the particular canceler.Sometimes they can be just a blotch or very fine,but the same
rules apply.
