\Mr Gamagatsu,

As regards the Mystic, some people rework the pages for various reasons. On the modern stamps, Mystic provides for horizontal or vertical strips instead of entire sheets of 20. That's fine with me as I have a low regard for modern US stamps anyway. The pre 1970 stamps call for singles in almost all cases. I really like this platform and have 16 binders full of US stamps 1870-2016.

My problem with using blank pages is drawing the boxes for the design. I wish I had a stamp for this purpose. Drawing by hand is very difficult.

Sleepy, have you considered "Album Easy" or another free source of albums? Check out Album Easy on http://thestampweb.com .

Sleepy - using pen and ink on entirely blank pages is difficult, whereas, if you use quadrille pages, the lay-out is fairly simple.

Difficult, not being in the US. This is the sort of thing I buy - I presume that US stamp supply shops sell something similar

Try taking a page from another issue and putting that behind the bland one and holding them up to a window. You can then trace the layout. I can usually find an older page with the layout I need for the new page I want to add.

GeoffHa, I gave sleepy two suggestions as to where to get quadrille paper. It is easy to find here also - just use Google. I have used quadrille paper since the sixties for my Japanese Occupation stamps

The value of advising someone to "google it" or "look on Amazon" rather escapes me. Graph paper isn't the same as quadrille paper designed for stamp albums. Office suppliers/stationers here don't sell the latter - but perhaps they do in the US.
