I only have two examples, so I am not sure if this is normal. I picked this up on ebay as I liked the clear cancel and wanted a C1 (ACSC 134) on cover. This is a Type A example with an early usage date of May 31, 1929. It is from the upper right corner of the sheet.

Please note the curved line in the upper marge above RALIA. Is this normal, or some type of engraver's slip? I don't see it mentioned in the ACSC. Thanks.

You must have eyes of an eagle to see that variety. I checked the recent ACSC and your variety is not listed.

It is quite a nice cover.

Really nice cover with clear cancel Partime.

I just love those red KGV's.

Thanks all. I didn't see this curve when I bought it, but I liked the clear cancel, so purchase it I did. After it arrived, I looked under my microscope and found the line.

So, I only have two copies, and it is entirely possible that this is standard for this stamp. OR, it may be unique to that position. Did anyone else check theirs more closely?

Right now, I'm still going through my Newfoundland hoard, finding very minor varieties. I'll post them in a new thread.

I checked my four examples and none have this variety.

I had a quick scout on the internet but I couldn't find another upper right corner example to compare.
