Ok, I know that it is difficult to accurately determine stamp colors from a scan, but I'm going crazy here trying to figure out all the different colors of the Samoa Palm stamps

Here several of the 2 pence stamps. They are all Perf. 11. Considering the "yellow" (Scott 13e) has the highest CV, my calls on these are as follows:

orange yellow; bright yellow; pale ocher; and brown ocher.

What do you think?

Any further thoughts or suggestions on how to better figure out these colors? (no I don't have any color gauges )

They all look "brown" to me but with different shades, with some "copper" inside but no Yellow - based on the Small Queens of Canada colour(color) charts but I guess each Country has its "colors"

Nice stamps Chris - I will re-look in 1 hour as the eye is not 100% on shades (stamps)that have been scanned.

Rene

thanks perf12 for your link - it might help a lot !

These are the recognized colors, in addition to yellow, according to Scott anyway. Not sure what SG catalog says...

For the 2d with perf. 11, SG gives SG59 Pale yellow, then Orange, Bright yellow, Pale ochre, Dull orange. There are 5 other earlier listings for 2d with other perfs.

Thanks 22crows! Those colors seems to make more sense than what Scott calls them. I still think I have the correct ones in that order...but lacking the "yellow" or "pale yellow" as SG calls it.
