Hi stampgurl, that is not a stamp but a cut-out from a piece of British stationery. You won't find it in the Scott catalog, but it can be found in specialized catalogs,

It had a stap next to it on a envelope . Pre decimal period its a something island stamp or whatever they call it 1971

Oh sorry stampgurl, I did not give quite the answer you were looking for. Value of these is most likely not very much - collectors this day try to go for the whole thing. Called an "entire".

This isn't itself pre-decimal, as it's denominated in "p" (i.e. decimal currency), not "d" (as in £.s.d). This would have been 6d in pre-decimal.

Brutally honest: it's worthless. It was originally printed onto an envelope so that a stamp didn't need to be stuck on. What you have is the corner of the envelope, cut out.
