I know this is an older discussion, but I am unsure where else to pose the question. I collect US plate blocks and use the Harris Albums, many years ago I bought Album B, I did not notice that some pages are absent. Specifically for these Scott numbers. There may be others as I am just now filling in the 1986 year pages.
Scott 2202, 2240-43, 2244, 2245. Do I need to buy the whole 1986 supplement again, or is there a supplement to the supplement? I am having a very hard time finding the Harris PB 1986 Supplement. Any suggestions? thank you

I went through all my unused pages from Harris B and C but don't have the ones you need. I switched over to the Scott Plate Block Album series when I started getting serious money invested in plate blocks. The heavier pages are far superior and the dust covers help protect everything.

I have AlbumEasy software that will make the pages, but unfortunately, Harris (and Scott) pages are too large to fit in any home printer. I can send you an 8½ x 11 page (and/or the .pdf file of same) that I made using AlbumEasy that contains spaces for all your missing plate blocks. The frames are sized for the PBs in Scott or Prinz mounts. You can either use that or lay a blank Harris page over it, trace the frame lines onto it, and add whatever text you want.

I also have a pack of blank pages for Harris albums. If you'd like, I can send some to you and you can make your own pages. Click on my name from this response and you can use SCF to send me an email with your mailing address if you're interested.

Please let me know what you'd like.

Thank you for your generosity. Just to understand, these pages do exist, correct? I may try and find a new full 1986 set somewhere that may have these pages, other wise I could do blank Harris. Or in some fashion copy and paste what you have. What I am wondering is, are there other subsequent pages I am missing for this year. I do not know what the complete 1986 Supplement has. Thanks again, gary

Gary -

It's a very good bet that the missing Harris pages do exist. Most likely, they just didn't get into the bundle when that set was collated. It happens.

As to what a "complete" supplement should contain - check your Scott catalogue for every stamp issued in 1986. Harris is still a major player and I seriously doubt they would accidentally leave something out. That said, no one that I know of makes an album with EVERY sub-type of the Scott numbers. There are simply too many errors and oddities for that, and only a miniscule portion of collectors would want it. They make their own pages, configured for their own collection.

The image I posted above does exist - as a pdf that you can run off on your printer, or I can just send you and 8½ x 11 printed copy.

Enlightenment. I guess I thought that each year of stamp collecting was definitive. I am not a one of the 'must have every stamp' collector. I will go the catalog and see what stamps were issued vs what pages are\might be available. What I am a little surprised at is, that older supplements are not easily available. Especially for such a large company as Harris. What are they expecting if they want to foster future collectors? Or if there are catastrophic events which damage or destroy collections. The cost of warehousing all years of supplements can not be an issue. I would think. Let me see if I can resize the above image, if not I would ask for a printed copy. Or place them on Harris blank pages. Thank you

50 is a lot. I don't have that much to say. And posting just to reach 50 isn't my style. It's clutter. Seems to me there may be workarounds. I would like to buy stamps, but can't on this site, I would like to communicate, even with the mods, and can't. I think I understand the need for restrictions. It will be awhile before I reach 50.

The rules exist because it is not uncommon for people to scam each other. This may include harvesting email addresses, home addresses, and other personal info. It happens more than you might think. We also do not allow the posting of email addresses on posts. This is because once a forum like this has a bunch of email addresses listed it becomes a target for bots and spiders which harvest and sell the addresses.
And lastly, we want to encourage a community which supports 'give and take' as opposed to having some folks who would just 'take'. For example, they only participate when they need/want somethings from others. I have privately contacted the parties involved here, please check your emails.

I've found that even the recent supplements do not contain all plate blocks. For example, the 2016 Harris Plate Block Supplement did not have a page for the Wonder Woman or Soda Fountain Favorite issues. Not sure if they were "officially" recognized as plate blocks or not, but both were issued on a sheet with plate numbers. I just added blank sheets to my album, and mounted the blocks to those. Whether they will be an addendum to the 2017 Supplement remains to be seen since that supplement will not be available until February.
