Hi Fellow Stampers. I was wondering what program you use to edit your pictures? I have tried to post some of my stamps but the image is too big. I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

Mine runs on Vista too, so you shouldn't have any problems there.

I use a program called Ezimage that can be found at http://www.ezstamp.com/ . They have a 30 day trial last time I looked. I also use the Albumgen software they have for creating album pages which also has a trial copy. I recommend both of these programs although a little costly but worth the money.

I'm just using Paint to re-size them. It's a pain in the neck, because of our limit of 90 whatever it is, and re-sizing sometimes leads to loss of detail. I would appreciate it if someone knows a better way.

And no, I still don't have Vista -- too many bugs to get into.

I use "Paint" it comes with windows in the accessories section.

1. Scan your image and open it in paint. (Right click on the file and use "open with - paint" Paint should be one of the programs listed. Large files will fill all the screen and often lots more.
2. At the top of the window click on "image" and then "stretch/skew"
3. Enter in the vertical and horizontal boxes 50 or 25 or whatever number you like. This is the percentage you want the file to shrink to. Both horizontal and vertical can be changed together.
4. "Save as" a new file with a new file name if you want to keep your original or just click "save"
5. To see if it is below the 100KB limit right click on the file and select "properties" this will give you the size of the file.

Hope this helps
Bruce

I have Win XP Home version.

I use a Hewlett Packard product that came with a printer or scanner years ago. It still works fine. So do I.

I also use a reduced size version of Infanview for use on a Thumb USB 'keychain' drive so I always have a pic editing program available on someone else's computer (like the library).

By the way InfanView is a Free product also. Freeware or some name.

I am downloading Picassa (9 MB size program) and going to try that out. I'll let you know.

Triggersmob, what computer operating system do you have that the program came with it?

Adobe Photoshop Elements is another good choice. Software is often included with a new scanner (e.g canon) and some photo printers. But then you have to purchase new scanner or printer

Photobucket is good. You can store your photos there, plus crop or re size them as well. Just look for the tab at the top of the page, that says, edit images. It's pretty easy too.

I really like the ease of use of the Photo Studio program, very easy to resize pics.

I use Adobe Photoshop, but I have also used the open source image manipulation software called Gimp in the past and liked it:
http://www.gimp.org/
It's free and does pretty much any photo manipulation you might need...resize, adjust brightness/levels, sharpen, etc. It might be too much if you just want to make the photo smaller, but if you get into it a bit more where you want to crop your photos and make any other changes, it's worth a download.
