There are several threads related to this topic so I am starting one just for the "Tasco" booklets. These were booklets designed to help identify US stamps. Some contained genuine stamps and some had facsimiles. They were produced by The Tatham Stamp Company in Springfield, MA. Here are the ones in my collection. Vince
About 20 years ago I became interested in Tasco Booklets and collected them advidedly for about 10 years. I sold the whole collection about 10 years ago when it became more and more expensive to add to the collection. However, my whole collection is saved on a website: http://glennestus.com/tascopics/Tascobooklets.html
There was also a very complete monograph published a few years ago, but I can't find my copy right now to give the pertinent information.
Glenn, Thanks for the link to your Tasco collection, I added it to my favorites. Now I have an idea of what is out there. If you come across your monograph on these booklets I would like to see it and add it to my reference material. The BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA MERIT BADGE REQUIRMENTS ON STAMP COLLECTING copyright 1956 is something that is easily replicated to give to new collectors today, not just Boy Scouts.
Ah, I saw the Confederate States one at a show two weeks ago and didn't pull the trigger.....was easily distracted as I recall. Hopefully I see the same dealer in a couple of weeks and it is still in his inventory.
