Looking For Advices To Sell Our Stamp Business

Hi everyone! I am new and my name is Stefano (Steve sounds probably better!)
My father has been running a stamp and coin store for more than 30 years and since 2003 we have also been running an online and ebay store with more then 25,000 items, mostly stamps.

My dad is about to turn 67 this year and while he loves the business, I would love to help me sell it with the entire collection and possibly the website and the ebay store.

I am an entrepreneur in tech and I don't really know what would be the best approach. Talking to an auction house or someone else? Are there investors in this space that can buy this kind of business?

I posted this before, and included links etc. I hope this time I am not violating rules.

Welcome Steve , you came to the right place to get answers . The first question everybody wants to know is what do you have for sale ? It sounds like you got three things for sale . Different people are going to look at inventory and want nothing else ,others may want the website because of the work your Dad put into it and the customer base . The third part the E-BAY store that isn't going to be in high demand and have any value at all.

To sell the website your going to be selling a Italian website and most likely most customers are in your home country that has to be sold locally .

Your inventory could have a value depending on what it contains , you may be able to sell that to a International stamp firm in Germany or England . First your going to need a detail inventory with a few hundred photos to forward to possible buyers before they would want to fly out to view the stock your Dad has . A good place to start is talk to Vince at Sandafayre in England .

I may be able to contact an agent that possibly would buy the entire stock.

Advise if that is an option.
